Sharing Ideas: application follow-up

Completing the application form is a critical part of applying to college, but it's not the only thing a student needs to do. In most cases, they'll need to submit supplemental credentials as well: transcripts, letters of recommendation, test scores. We've provided a one-page sheet we call "I Applied ... Now What?" that offers students a list of next steps, including a reminder to get those supplemental materials sent off to colleges as soon as possible.

Some of the pieces they still need to send will actually come from the school. Therefore, you may want to think about ways you can adapt your regular process for student requests of this type to your CAW event. One idea from Hilllsboro High School is to have a station at their CAW event where students can request that transcripts be sent to the colleges where they've submitted applications.

We're collecting -and sharing- your ideas. Be sure to share your ideas with Adrienne so your colleagues have the benefit of your brilliance! Read ideas by clicking on the blue or green icons to the right.
